Celebration
In the last years ‘els Ermitans de Sant Joan de la Muntanya’ (a group of people in Montblanc) have given a great impulse to the festivity. The night before they light a big bonfire and they have a snack. The day starts in the hermitage with a mass and then a popular breakfast. During the morning there are different exhibitions and there is a dance of ‘sardanes’ ( Catalan dance). On the other hand, ‘el Club Atlètic de Montblanc’ organizes a race to the hermitage. The celebration finishes with the change of the ‘senyera’ (Catalan flag).
