Celebration
The Montblanc Carnival is celebrated with great intensity over three days. On Friday, schools celebrate Carnival, with children as the main protagonists. On Saturday morning, His Majesty Carnestoltes and his entourage are welcomed with a party that kicks off the revelry. In the afternoon, the grand parade and the float and costume contest take place. Finally, on Tuesday, the festivities conclude with the burial of the sardine, the reading of His Majesty Carnestoltes’ will, and the award ceremony for the contest winners.
