The 22nd International Ceramics Festival of Montblanc will take place on September 25th, 26th and 27th
13/01/2026
Shortly before the end of 2025, the Montblanc Tourist Office launched the registration process for ceramists wishing to take part in the 22nd edition of Terrània, the International Ceramics Festival of Montblanc, and confirmed the dates of the event: September 25th, 26th and 27th, 2026.
Those interested in participating as exhibitors can download the participation guidelines from www.terrania.cat and complete an application form to request participation in this benchmark event, which enjoys a solid reputation both nationally and internationally.
The registration period will close on January 31st. From that moment on, the organisation will select the ceramists. As usual, a selection committee will be responsible for choosing the participants. It is made up of ceramists from the Conca de Barberà region, the Councillor for Tourism and staff from the Montblanc Tourist Office. The selection criteria ensure a wide range of works in terms of style, typology, finishes, materials, techniques and origin, and participant rotation is also taken into account.
For several months, the organisation has been working to resume the festival, which could not be held in 2025 due to renovation works at the former convent of Sant Francesc.
In March, the names of the selected participants will be announced and the programme will be drawn up.
It has already been confirmed that the guest ceramist at Terrània’26 will be Núria Soley, who enjoys great international recognition for her contemporary jewellery and creative ceramic pieces. She is well known to Terrània visitors. Since the first edition, she has taken part in thirteen editions of the festival and has frequently led microraku workshops that have captivated audiences with their spectacular nature. She will be the focus of the central exhibition at the Sala Sant Miquel, which will be open to the public from the Montblanc Town Festival until the celebration of Terrània.
The guest territory has also been announced: Poland. Ceramist Kamila Dziedzic will coordinate the group of ceramists who will be located in the apse of the former church of Sant Francesc.
Furthermore, the 2026 edition will be inaugurated by Maria Rosa Taulés, president of the Association of Ceramists of Catalonia, which this year celebrates its 40th anniversary and will have a special presence at the festival.
