Terrània

In 2003, the proposal of local potters along with the Town Council to carry out an International Ceramic Festival in Montblanc became a reality.

Terrània was presented as a pioneering event in Catalonia and in its first edition it managed to be a success thanks to the quality of the exposed work and the number of attending public.

One of the objectives of Terrània is the discovery of artistic and decorative ceramics, a type of ceramics still unknown in this country since when we talk about ceramics it is usually related to traditional uses (household utensils and transport among others).

For this reason, this Festival tries to bring this ceramic type to the public by visiting the exhibition of high quality works, the technical demonstrations of turn, modeling and raku, and the cooking of pieces in a spectacular experimental show.
