Brickània was created in 2015 with the aim of becoming a new tourist attraction in Montblanc at the start of the summer season. It is part of the town’s festival calendar, which continues with Terrània, the International Ceramic Festival, in September and Clickània, the Playmobil Festival, in October.
The focus on the Lego® universe reflects the growing number of fans of this toy, both young and adult. Holding the event in June also makes sense: it is a quieter moment of the year in terms of tourism, ideal for offering a different, family-friendly experience.
Brickània is aimed primarily at collectors and Lego® enthusiasts, but it also welcomes anyone curious to explore a creative universe that goes far beyond play.
In recent editions, visitors have enjoyed original exhibitions, purchased specialised pieces, and taken part in demonstrations, workshops and talks about Lego® robots. The most creative participants have also had a dedicated space to unleash their imagination and build their own creations. This combination of activities is what makes Brickània a true festival, distinct from a market, fair or simple exhibition.
The festival was paused in 2020, 2021 and 2022 due to the pandemic.
