It was rebuilt at the end of the 1990s.

History
This gateway was one of the four original entrances to the town and gave access to Lleida, coinciding with the royal way. In the 19th century it was demolished so as to give access to the carriages. Today, the tower of the gateway is the headquarters of the Conca de Barberà Designation of Origin Regulatory Council.
