History
This gateway was ordered to be built for the exclusive and private use of the military representative of the king, the castlà or castellan. In the past, the Castlà's palace had a garden and an orchard that reached up to the wall. In the 17th century it was walled up and was not reopened until 1917. Today, the tower of the gateway is a house owned by the municipality.
