The Mill of Capellans

A draper mill near the walled site

14th century

It had two millstones, although the water was not guaranteed because it depended on the irrigation ditch of the ‘Francolí’ river. The colonnade we can see over the door is from the 16th  century. At present it is a restaurant.

Situated beside the cellar, in ancient times it was a rag mill, though later it was an oil mill and a flour mill. Then it passed to private people until the 17th century that was sold to the Priests Community, and in the 19th century to the Cervera family.

It can’t be visited.
