In the southwest of Montblanc, it is the highest district of the municipality.

Documentation about it appears in 1151. At the beginning it formed a municipality with the groups of houses of Els Cogullons, la Bartra and el Pinetell de Rojals. In 1940 it was attached to Montblanc.

Outstanding place
Church of Sant Salvador, probably of Romanesque origin. Rojals is the starting point of different routes to practise trekking and riding a mountain bike. It is a natural gateway to the Prades mountains. It has different rural accommodation and a restaurant.
