The infuence of the good location of Montblanc and the region make la Conca de Barberà a privileged territory for winegrowing. The local economy has been influenced by the wine and vineyard history. In 18th and 19th c. vineyards were expanded until 1893 because of a deep crisis. Montblanc count on wine and cava producers and has a cooperative cellar in a modernist style, built by Cèsar Martinell. Nowadays some cellars offer guided tours and wine tasting. All of them make up the DO Conca de Barberà.
